Amethyst

Amethyst is a world that has had its ups and downs.

Once home to a prosperous civilization thanks to the abundance of water and valuable mineral deposits, this Earth-like planet eventually faced disaster when a meteorite shower struck the planet's surface. This event caused widespread destruction and left much of the world in ruins, eventually forcing its inhabitants to seek shelter in the extensive mines underneath.

Using whatever resources were available to them, their ingenuity and advanced technology helped the survivors to rebuild and establish a new society underground. They developed new infrastructure and established thriving communities beneath the surface, making the most of their new home.

Over time, they were able to reclaim the surface, building new networks, settlements, and infrastructure. These new developments coexisted alongside the underground cities, which remained prosperous and bustling hubs of activity.

Today, Amethyst is a popular destination for Crews seeking opportunity and prosperity. Its wealth of resources and technology makes it a place where anything is possible.

Whether you are a miner seeking fortune in the depths, an entrepreneur looking to take advantage of the planet's trade, or a rogue Crew with a flexible moral compass, Amethyst has something for everyone.

Notable Planetary Attributes

Geography

Beast Plain

The Beast Plain is a treacherous location that is littered with numerous tunnels, which are roughly about a meter in diameter. These tunnel holes are inhabited by ferocious creatures that are over two meters long and bear a striking resemblance to prairie dogs. Predating on these creatures are packs of wild wolves that linger around the area. Such fierce creatures make for a constant deterrent for civilization to peacefully exist here.

That said, the existence of the plains has long piqued the interest of scientists and adventurers alike.

For a long time, it remained a mystery why the plant-eating animals of Beast Plain became so aggressive. However, one day, a group of intrepid researchers stumbled upon an ancient grave buried deep in the burrows. This grave contained a mummy of a human-like creature that stood at a staggering five meters tall. Further analysis revealed that the mummy contained special chemicals that could make any living creature grow exponentially huge and violent.

This discovery led to the inevitable interest of the military, and thus resulted in attempts to create super soldiers using this chemical. Unfortunately, the attempt ended in failure as human hearts could not withstand such a rapid change in size and character - and all the soldiers who tested the chemical died within a few hours.

Eucasor Islands

The Eucasor Islands consist of nine islands of various sizes, all of which have their own volcanoes. The largest island, Samarara, has the only active volcano in this archipelago, and the volcanoes on the other islands remain dormant.

The geothermal activity has made the islands famous for their hot springs, and each island has its own unique hot springs - including ones that have higher sulfur and iron.

Samarara Island is especially famous for its radium springs which are said to cure gout, among many other diseases, and is also rather infamous because of the alcohol aficionados that frequent it.
